How to make avocado paratha flatbread
These avocado paratha flatbread are great when you have some avocado laying around and you do not want to make another batch of guacamole.
As avocado is a great substitute for butter you can image how soft avocado paratha flatbread is. Take a ripe avocado and mash it into a bowl until it is almost creamy.
Put the cup of flour in a separate bowl. Add the spices and salt on the flour and stir through the flour.
Then add the avocado mash and first stir it through the flour before you knead it with your hand until a consistent dough.
This will take a couple of minutes. Create one big ball and wrap in foil. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes.
Cut the ball into four equal pieces the size of a golf ball. Take a tortilla press to flatten the paratha. If you do not have a tortilla press use a rolling pin to roll out the flatbread.
Heat a skillet on medium heat and brush the skillet with oil when the skillet is warm.
Bake the avocado paratha flatbread about a minute per side or until brown patches appear. Keep warm in a clean tea towel.
Your avocado flatbread is ready to eat.
