From meat to fish to chicken to vegetables and vegan. You can turn your tortilla into a soft taco and fold it before you take a bite.
The tortillas are totally vegan and gluten-free but can be enjoyed by everyone which is great.
As chickpea has a naturally nutty flavor it is a great combination with these lamb kabob skewers and tahini red roasted salsa sauce.
Of course, you can take your favorite taco to use in this recipe. These lamb kabob skewers are great to make for a party or a weekend barbecue.
You can make it any time of year on the barbecue in the summer or in a skillet/grill pan in the winter.

Lamb kabob ingredients
In order for you to make this recipe, you need an extensive grocery list. Make certain you get the following ingredients:
- Small chickpea tortillas
- Ground lamb meat
- Hot Chili powder
- Cumin powder
- Salt and pepper
For the sauce:
- Roasted spicy tomato salsa or hot sauce
How to make lamb kabob with tortillas
Start this recipe with the ground lamb meat. If you are not a fan of lamb you can substitute with ground beef or ground chicken.
Put the meat into a bowl. Then chop an onion finely and mince two cloves of garlic really ultra fine. Add these to the ground meat.
Then take hot chili powder or cayenne pepper, cumin powder and add these to the meat as well. Now it is time to combine all the ingredients with your hand.
You can add some salt and fresh black pepper to taste. Make sure the thoroughly knead all the ingredients before you start making the lamb kabobs skewers.
If you do not knead the ingredients enough the lamb kebabs will fall off the skewer. Divide the lamb mixture into six equal sized portions and shape into a flat sausage shape.
Put it on a skewer. Knead them into shape on the skewer. If you roast the lamb kabobs on a barbecue put the skewers in some water first to prevent them from burning.
Now (pan) grill the kabobs. If you use a pan take some olive oil and brush your pan. Let the pan get nice and hot before you add the kabobs in the pan.
Leave the kabobs and let them sear in the pan before you start turning and moving the skewers around. Grill for about 10 minutes until all of the kabobs have a brown color.
You can warm the tortillas in a dry pan in a couple of minutes or you can heat the oven at 300℉/150℃ and let them warm in about 10 minutes wrapped in aluminum foil.
Prepare the salsa sauce
For the salsa take tahini, fresh lemon and stir through. Now take the roasted spicy tomato salsa and stir this into the sauce.
To make it more liquid add some hot water and stir. Plate up your tortillas and take a chickpea tortilla.
Then add a kabob skewer. Put some tahini sauce and some additional roasted spicy tomato salsa on top of the kabob.
For decoration, purposes add some finely chopped spring onion. Serve with rice and your dish is ready to eat.
Difference between kabob and kebab?
The only difference between kabob and kebob is simple. They are the same however kabobs is how they are called in the United States kebab is how these meat skewers are call in Great Britain.

Lamb or meat kabobs originate in the Middle East but are known around the World in many different varieties with lots of different names.
Cooked regularly on a skewer and on the barbecue or in a skillet. There are easily 18 countries that have their own kabob variety from the Mediterranean to Asia, Indonesia to the Middle East.

We are making lamb kabobs skewers also know as lamb kebab skewers served with chickpea tortillas. An easy to make recipe that is so tasty!
- 6 small (chickpea) soft tortillas or hardshell tacos
- 200 g of minced lamb
- ½ onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic finely chopped
- ½ tsp of chili powder
- 1 tsp of cumin powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 spring onion for decorating purposed
- For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp of tahini
- ½ tbsp of lemon
- 2 tbsp of roasted spicy tomato salsa (can be substitute with hot sauce)
- 3 or 4 tbsp of hot water
- Put the minced meat in a bowl
- Add the onion and garlic
- Then add the chili powder and cumin powder
- Knead the ingredients thoroughly
- Add salt and pepper to taste
- Divide the mixture into 6 equal part
- Shape them into flat sausages and put on a skewer
- Heat a skill or grill pan (or barbecue) and brush with olive oil. Grill the skewers in about 10 minutes
- Make the sauce with 2 tbsp of tahini, 1 tbsp of lemon, 2 tbsp of roasted spicy tomato salsa. Stir to combine and add some hot water to make it more liquid
- Plate the taco by adding a lamb kebab skewer on a taco then add some tahini salsa sauce and some additional salsa. Decorate with spring onion. Serve with some basmati rice
