Especially if you have the ingredients in your kitchen pantry you can make your own seasoning for a fraction of the price.
The same applies to this bagel seasoning that you can put on your bagels but also on all of your egg recipes, salads or vegetables.
As this seasoning is not available in the Netherlands, for example, it is an easy way to still be able to make this seasoning and to turn your dishes into something amazing.
Everything but the bagel ingredients
Want to make your own everything bagel seasoning make certain you have the following ingredients on your grocery shopping list:
- White sesame seeds
- Black sesame seeds
- Dried minced onion
- Garlic powder
- Dried fried onions
- Sea salt
- Poppy seeds
How to make everything but the bagel seasoning
To make this recipe is super easy. Take your measuring adds and measure all of the ingredients as described in the recipe.
Put it in a big bowl and stir it through for at least 1 minute so you are certain that the ingredients are distributed evenly.
You do not want to have all the salt or sesame in one tablespoon. If possible try to make the dried fried onions at little finer.
You will get a great colored seasoning. Store in a glass jar and you can use this Everything bagel seasoning for months.
Use Everything bagel seasoning with
There are a lot of recipes that can this bagel seasoning. Obviously, you can put it on top of a bagel. But you can also sprinkle it on:
- Eggs – boiled or poached eggs get a lift from this seasoning

- Meat – rub it on some steak
