That is a good time to make nachos or in this case beef nachos as it is the ultimate party food. If you make this recipe with homemade tortilla chips it tastes even better.
The tortilla chips are made in the oven so they are lower calorie than when you fry them in oil.
Beef nachos ingredients
To make this beef nachos recipe you need a couple of ingredients. Put the following on your grocery list:
- Ground beef
- Tortilla chips
- Spicy roasted tomato salsa
- Vegan cheese
- Bell pepper
- Tomato puree
- Jalapeño pepper
How to make beef nachos
Where do we start with this recipe? The oven baked tortilla chips are literally the base of this recipe. Of course you can choose any flavor you like.
This snack includes at least three of my favorite dishes:
Further, I have included some ground beef, onion, garlic, bell peppers, tomato puree, and Jalapeño peppers.
Browning the beef then adding all the ingredients to let it simmer until the beef is nice and soft.
This recipe contains beef but you can easily swap the ground beef for:
- Shredded chicken
- Ground turkey
- vegan tempeh meat
Warm the tortilla chips and load the beef mixture on top of the tortilla chips. Add tablespoons of roasted tomato salsa on the beef and repeat with the guacamole.
Nachos should naturally be covered in cheese loads and loads of cheese. Try hard shredded Mozzarella or grated Grana Padano.
For this recipe, use home made vegan cheese to add to the beef. Vegan cheese is not only great with nachos but can be eaten as a spread or dip as well.

Today we are making Jalapeño beef nachos. An easy and tasty recipe loaded with cheese, guacamole and roasted tomato salsa. A great party snack. Try it!
- Heat a pan
- Brown the beef
- Add onion, garlic and bell peppers. Stir through constantly until onion and bell peppers are soft
- Add the tomato puree and keep stirring
- Now add the sliced Jalapeño peppers and stir before adding water
- Let it simmer for 15 minutes
- Put tortilla chips on a plate
- Take beef mixture from the heat and spread on top of the nacho chips
- Cover with salsa, guacamole and (vegan) cheese
- Ready to serve
