Last week I showed you the ultimate vegan lentils nachos with a great nacho dip. Well this dip does not only makes nachos taste better it makes every crunchy snack tastes better. It is savory and spicy and creamy and yum. I could advertise this dip as a vegan cheese as it has the ingredients to do so but I do not think it tastes like cheese. No this dip can stand on its own two feet and it just taste so good. So are you ready to learn how you can make this mega easy cashewless nacho dip sauce? Lets get started!

When I first tasted nutritional yeast I thought it had nutty type of flavor even though it was defined as a cheese replacement and you can really taste the nuttiness of the nutritional yeast as I have not use any type of nuts.

In this recipe I only has 7 ingredients:

  • boiled potatoes
  • boiled carrets
  • nutritional yeast
  • tomato paste
  • arrowroot starch
  • garlic powder
  • jalapeño

That is it. Put all of it in a powerful blender and start a low speed. The blender needs a little time to combine all the ingredients to turn it into a smooth sauce. Make sure the potatoes and carrots are warm this will make it easier for the ingredients to combine. Serve when hot or reheat after the dip is done.

If you think the nacho dip is to thick just add a table spoon. of hot water and stir through. Your dip is ready to serve. You can also eat this as a crudités a French hors d’oeuvre of raw vegetable that you can dip into this delicious dip.

Mega easy cashewless nacho dip

Serves: 8 Prep Time: 12 minutes Cooking Time: 5 minutes

It is savory and spicy and creamy and yum we are making mega easy cashewless nacho dip sauce. Ready to learn how? Lets get started!


  • 1 cup of boiled diced potatoes
  • ½ cup of boiled carrots
  • 1 tbsp of nutritional yeast
  • 1tbsp of tomato paste
  • 1 tsp of arrowroot starch
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • Optional 1 or 2 tbsp of hot water



Boil diced potatoes no longer than 10 minutes almost done to prevent them from getting to starchy.


Boil carrots in about 8 minutes soft


Put into the blender


Add the nutritional yeast, tomato paste, arrowroot starch and garlic powder


Blend on low first to combine the ingredients, increase to get a smooth dip


If the dip is to thick add 1 or 2 tbsp of hot water and stir thoroughly.


Serve immediately
