How to make pork chops with mushrooms

Heat a skillet and add olive oil until warm. Melt the butter before you sear the pork chops for 5-7 minutes. Turn the pork chops to sear the other side as well. Cook until golden brown.

Take the pork chops out of the pan and put them on a plate and set aside. Then take the strips of bacon and chop them up. Add these to the hot skillet and stir until the bacon is crisp.

As the bacon has enough fat you do not need to add any additional oil or butter. Then add the onion and garlic and stir until the onion is soft and translucent. This will take about 3 minutes.

Melt the butter with the onion mix and add the sliced mushrooms. Stir for about 3 minutes until soft. Now it is time to stir in the cooking cream.

Add the wine or chicken broth which ever you prefer and bring the sauce to a simmer. Let the sauce cook until it thickens.

Then you can add the chopped parsley and season with more salt and pepper to taste. Leave the sauce bubbling for another 2 minutes and stir occasionally.

Return the pork chops to the pan and let it warm through for 5 minutes on medium heat. Garnish with fresh parsley and you are ready to serve the pork chops.
