Do you like coffee? Can’t start the day without it? Always trying new flavors and special kinds of coffees? Read on. My husband is a total coffee lover. Usually just plain no sugar no milk but made with freshly ground coffee beans (it is no comparison to filter coffee I am told). Every once in a while he likes to switch it up so a coffee con leche or cappuccino or a latte macchiato. But after I made Dulce de Leche the other day he can add a new favorite to his list. Yes it is sweet and absolutely not good for your waistline but it is however the most delicious Dulce de Leche coffee. Easy to make. So lets get started!
When talking with coffee lovers there can be only one hero in a coffee drink and that is always the coffee. However in this case the coffee has a tough competitor in the Dulce de Leche.
This great caramel sauce adds a sweet touch to a great coffee. This drink is without alcohol but if you have some Tia Maria or Licor 43 you can set this coffee on fire.
How to make the most delicious Dulce de Leche coffee
How do you make this coffee? Super easy. Start with 1 big tablespoon of Dulce de Leche then add a nice cup of strong espresso. For a double dosis you can do a double espresso.
Whip up some whipped cream. I start without sugar and when cream gets thick I add some sugar. As the Dulce de Leche is sweet already do not overdo the sugar in the whipped cream. Put two or three big dollops of whipped cream on top of the coffee.
Finish this great coffee by sprinkling some cocoa powder on the whipped cream. If you feel extra indulgent add some Dulce de Leche on top of the whipped cream as well. Enjoy!
If you have some Dulce de Leche left then you can also make a funny popcorn caramel coffee.
I hope you enjoy the most delicious Dulce de Leche coffee! Made a recipe tag @thetortillachannel on Instagram or PIN on Pinterest.
